Foundations for Rational Investment in the Crypto Market

If you don't want to become a slave to the secondary market sentiment in crypto, it's crucial to think carefully about these questions:

  1. Do you have enough confidence to hold ETH for the long term? With Bitcoin's shift towards becoming a financial asset similar to US stocks, ETH has become the leader of on-chain innovation in the crypto space. Given the growing trend of Real World Assets (RWA) being tokenized, if you don't trust ETH, what assets are worth holding? Belief requires time and enduring volatility.
  2. Is the value of altcoins actually zero? If so, why are more and more emerging? Demand creates supply. If their value isn't zero, why has making money from altcoins become so difficult? Instead of fighting against altcoins, it's better to adjust your expectations for them.
  3. Why is the sustained bullish momentum we saw in DeFi and NFTs no longer present? The flourishing of infrastructure requires the emergence of successful applications. If this emergence is delayed, there will be a long vacuum period. This is the essence of the bottleneck technical innovation is facing after the rise of MEME coins, and the reason for the shrinking liquidity. Perhaps we underestimated this market cycle. Before true innovation appears, the bull market hasn't truly begun.
  4. What contribution has Binance made to the industry? We witnessed the flourishing of innovation in DeFi and NFTs on the Ethereum network, the MEME season on Solana, a brief period of shine for "pseudo-innovations" like Bitcoin inscriptions, and the emergence of Hyperliquid. But after the liquidity battle we saw with "Let the bull market happen on BSC", everything changed. From a business perspective, Binance has proven itself. But as an industry leader, Binance should learn an important concept: "Positive Externalities".
  5. Can organized, profit-driven institutions replace decentralization? In the previous cycle, decentralization, research institutions, and community-driven innovation were the driving forces. But with attention and efficiency becoming new catalysts, and with the success stories led by commercial organizations, research alone is no longer sufficient. Don't forget that Uniswap and ENS were not planned by venture capitalists. They were born in an era that was "inefficient but full of possibilities." Decentralized research and innovation are not at odds with large-scale, commercially-oriented resources and execution. Collaboration between the two is the future.

There are no standard answers to these questions, but you must have your own answers. Which coins are worth holding? Which communities should you join? Which technical narratives should you follow? How can you move freely in price volatility? These choices require a deep understanding of the nature of cryptocurrency. If you don't want to be a slave to emotions, you must first understand what you believe in and what you are waiting for.
