Additionally, CCA can integrate KYC/compliance capabilities, as exemplified by Aztec's use of ZKPassport, an identity solution developed using Aztec's Noir language. ZKPassport enables compliance checks without revealing sensitive user details through the use of zero-knowledge proofs.

CCA provides a configurable auction framework, allowing projects to customize the rules according to their specific needs. Key steps in the CCA process include:

  1. Configuration Phase: The auction initiator configures parameters on-chain, such as start and end times, number of rounds, token allocation per period, minimum price (floor price), whitelist/identity verification requirements, and liquidity injection strategies into Uniswap v4.
  2. Bidding Phase: Participants can place bids at any time during the auction, specifying the amount of capital they are willing to commit and the maximum acceptable price. Bids can be adjusted repeatedly, and each order is processed independently.
  3. Allocation Phase: Bids are automatically spread across the remaining issuance periods, meaning earlier bids have the potential to participate in more clearing rounds.
  4. Clearing Phase: In each round, the system determines a uniform price that enables all tokens allocated for that round to be sold. Tokens are allocated to bids whose maximum prices exceed or equal the final price.
  5. Finalization: Upon completion of all rounds, participants can claim their allocated tokens and retrieve any unspent capital. The protocol then injects the collected assets and the project's assets into Uniswap v4, initiating liquidity on secondary trading markets.
