ARK Invest Increases Crypto Investments

ARK Invest concluded the week with a fresh wave of investments across several flagship funds, accumulating positions in Circle, Bullish, BitMine, and Robinhood, in addition to Bitcoin ETFs, as crypto-related equities showed signs of recovery.

The largest purchases were directed towards Bullish, with the ARK Innovation ETF (ARKK), ARK Fintech Innovation ETF (ARKF), and ARK Next Generation Internet ETF (ARKW) all increasing their exposure, according to Friday's trade notifications. These combined acquisitions totaled approximately $2 million, following a 5.75% gain in Bullish's value on that day.

ARK also continued to accumulate BitMine, with combined purchases across ARKF, ARKK, and ARKW amounting to roughly $830,000. BitMine's price experienced a slight dip during the day but remained consistent with its recent trading range near $26.

Furthermore, the firm strategically added smaller amounts of Circle and Robinhood. It acquired 3,529 shares of Circle, valued at $250,000, as the stablecoin issuer’s stock price increased by over 6%. ARK also added approximately $200,000 worth of new Robinhood shares.

ARK Boosts Bitcoin ETF Holdings

On Friday, ARK increased its exposure to Bitcoin ETFs (BTC) by nearly $600,000, primarily through new purchases of the ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF (ARKB). The ARKF and ARKW funds collectively added more than 20,000 shares.

These purchases coincide with the US spot Bitcoin ETF market experiencing one of its most significant downturns since its inception. The 12 funds collectively reported net outflows of nearly $1 billion on Friday, marking the second-largest daily withdrawal to date and positioning the group for its weakest week since February.

Outflows have accelerated over the past month, with approximately $4 billion leaving these products as Bitcoin’s price has declined roughly 30% from its recent peak.

ARK's Crypto Buying Spree Continues

On Thursday, ARK executed its largest daily acquisition of the week. The firm acquired $10.1 million in Coinbase, $9.9 million in BitMine, $9 million in Circle, and $9.65 million in Bullish, in addition to further investments of $16.8 million in Nvidia and $6.8 million in Robinhood.

Prior to this, the firm had also purchased $16.8 million worth of Bullish shares, approximately $15 million in Circle, and about $7.6 million in BitMine across its ARKF, ARKW, and ARKK ETFs on Wednesday.
